Diaceutics

Somerville worked with the team at Todd Architects on this collaborative interior fit-out project which spanned 12,000 sq.ft of smart office space. Located within a brand new commercial building, the Diaceutics team gained a generous office space to work, collaborate and relax in.

At first sight, the reception and waiting area offered guests an eye-catching structure to gaze at and relax in. Oversized oak fins were constructed to create what was affectionately known as the ‘Birdcage’ ( due to its obvious shape and style).

Oak columns were cleverly integrated into the design scheme to conceal power and data cables, which were easily accessed via the horizontal Oak slats at the back. Giant TV screens were suspended within the area to allow easy viewing for visitors.

A floor-to-ceiling faceted glass screen with Diaceutics branding encased the birdcage while fabric sheers offered privacy between the waiting area and the surrounding offices. The bespoke kitchen design complimented the rest of the scheme, combining oak and anti-smudge matt black units. Sleek corian worktops and minimalist black appliances offered the team a contemporary space to dine and relax in.

A miniature version of this kitchen, in the form of a tea point/breakfast bar was positioned near the open plan desk areas. The contrast between matt black painted ceilings and the HeraDesign acoustic ceiling tiles was visible across the entire floor providing a consistent, modern flow. White fabric baffles offered additional soundproofing to the scheme while oversized LED lights delivered ideal task lighting.

This fit-out project furnished the Diaceutics team with numerous spacious offices, along with a selection of open plan agile seating areas. All desks spaces were furnished with sit stand desks and acoustic wall panels softened to soften surrounding noise. The large conference room had the ability to divide into 2 separate spaces for greater flexibility.

Cosy collaboration pods were dotted around the office, along with a retreat room/snug for anyone who needed to switch off for a while. A state-of-the-art gymnasium, fully kitted out with BlackBox equipment was planned and is currently being completed.
