The way we work is constantly evolving, and so are the environments in which we work. Our recent project at The Printworks offered the perfect opportunity to blend the best of both worlds: architectural heritage and future-facing design.
Nestled within this regenerated Victorian building, the space is more than just a commercial office. It's a destination where agile working meets considered well-being and collaboration. For this latest office fit-out, we installed a custom kitchen, a statement Oak media wall, and flexible work pods, as well as acoustic meeting rooms. Working alongside Alwyn Whiteman, each element is designed with flexibility and employee well-being in mind.
A striking feature in the space is the open-plan kitchen, framed in terracotta cabinetry with warm Oak detailing. This environment is not only a place to grab coffee but a vibrant social hub. Sage green steelwork and the original timber flooring anchor the space in its historical context while giving a modern twist.
This project reflects a growing trend in commercial interiors: workplaces that prioritise collaboration, comfort, and character. At Somerville, we are proud to be at the forefront of that movement, delivering bespoke fit-out and joinery solutions that bring spaces to life.
Somerville Fit-Out Ltd are in receipt of Selective Financial Assistance grant for SFA - Capital July 2018 from Invest NI. This project is part funded by European Regional Development fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014-2020.
The funding enabled us to procure essential machinery to develop our manufacturing output, and continue delivering quality furniture to our clients.
